AVOAD Meeting

Acadiana VOAD will have an emergency response meeting Friday, June 23rd from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. in the auditorium at United Way of Acadiana upstairs conference room located at 215 E. Pinhook Rd.. in Lafayette.

Organizations or groups helping with flood disaster efforts are invited to join Acadiana VOAD.

Acadiana VOAD was established to foster efficient, streamlined service delivery to people affected by disaster, while eliminating unnecessary duplication of effort, through cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration in the four stages of disaster: preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation.

This network has been in existence for over two decades and worked well during past disasters such as the 2012 Carencro flooding and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.

Acadiana VOAD welcomes any non-profit organization, government agency, civic organization or church to join so that Acadiana can collaboratively serve those affected as efficiently and effectively as possible.
