Want to Volunteer?
There are many non-profit organizations and faith based groups in Acadiana that offer disaster response and need volunteers. AVOAD seeks to eliminate unnecessary duplication of effort through cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration in the four phases of disaster: preparation, response, recovery, and mitigation.
United Way of Acadiana serves as the official AVOAD site for volunteer registration in the Acadiana region. If you are interested in being involved in disaster response, please register as a volunteer with United Way of Acadiana. As volunteer opportunities are identified throughout our region, you will receive information with details regarding specific opportunities in your area. If you have any questions call Keler Williams, Vice President of Resources at United Way of Acadiana at (337) 706-1234.
AVOAD is dedicated to helping organize relief with our community member organizations. To be effective, AVOAD needs to know the needs of our member organizations. If your organization is in need of volunteer resources, fill out the form below and AVOAD will redirect resources to your location.
