Acadiana VOAD welcomes organizations that serve in the Acadiana area in times of disaster. We encourage any interested parties to apply.

There are two types of membership:

1. Regular Membership: To become a member of AVOAD your organization must be a non-profit entity in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State, with a commitment of resources to meet the needs of the people of Acadiana; be actively serving people in Acadiana; have a staffed office (traditional or WFH) in Acadiana.

2. Associate Membership: We welcome businesses, civic and mutual aid groups, government agencies, and passionate individuals as associate members of Acadiana VOAD.

The key difference in membership levels is that Regular Members have voting rights within AVOAD, while Associate Members have limited voting rights. In addition, Regular Members typically participate directly in disaster response efforts, while Associate Members and individuals may focus on coordination, support, and messaging. Please note that while these differences exist, Acadiana VOAD is most successful when everyone who is interested and passionate about disaster response is at the table, so please join!
